I use video links and other types of links to websites that I feel would be helpful.
Anyone who knows me well, knows, that I tell those interested in teaching to become a lawyer fiirst. Not a popular view, but since parents have given over parenting, or even given up on it, teaching is more than the three Rs.
When I wrote newspaper editorials, I used sources that were not always primary. I did not nor do I now, travel to locations. Observations and inspiration from a word, title, or connection would help me form the submission. Other editorials submitted would also spark a response. My experience in life and education were motivation. I still believe my experience, though not unique in retaliation. stands out because I did not go hide under a rock. Sworn taped testimony adds documentation and that is unique with no signed NDA.
My last newspaper editorial was published in 2013. I started this blog in 2012 and wrote for a prolife blog, and managed it, from about 2015 to 2017. That was a primary experience in front of an abortion clinic, as was my teaching and family life of which I wrote.
I submitted a few editorials to Pittsburgh area media. In recent years, getting a viewpoint punlished that does not advocate for new gun laws is not easy. No excuse, I also stopped writing because I was working on my book.
A word, phrase or a title will inspire a post. I am posting much more lately because the Uvalde, Texas and Newport News, Va. school district’s shootings, and subsequent trials, have once again led me to write.
School attackers are very similar regardless of age, sexual identity, gender dysphoric, race, nationality, location or weapon (s) used. Three common threads are anger, hatred, revenge and mental illness.
In the link below, the Nashville shooter, female by birth, uses that “b” word. Think about previous posts on that word. My book does explain too.
The linked documentary uses the current trend with pronouns to reference the shooter. It was one person, not more than one. The narrator/ video creator explains why the use of a plural pronoun. I found the use of "they" confusing but YouTube is terrible on free speech.
Identifying mental illness, as a shared attribute among attackers, is a mitigating factor, but not an excuse. The connection is not a shocking revelation unless that rock is your roof.
Did a therapist know of any plans in advance to attack? I have seen medical records of gender dysphoric individuals and people are not shy on sharing. Court documents are telling. Testosterone is not the only medication prescribed in gender dysphoric patients. The video talks about depression and anxiety in this gender dysphoric shooter, as well as early onset problems in life. Do you know the side effects of medications for depression and anxiety? The response to the lack of information for the Covid shots seem to say, people do not care. Stupidity can abound and not just in school shootings, ASK!
Sexual identity factors in, but is not a direct cause to violence. This person had other things going on. Jealousy is mentioned. If the mentally ill need help, my question is, who knew? Was there a therapist? Parents?
People are people. Unchecked anger can become deadly.
As some titles of articles do, or in the case with this YouTuber, the channel’s name hit a chord for me. Dire Trip is the channel. The word “dire” factored into my experience.
This linked video references so many autopsy results. The shooting at the Christian school garnered national attention for the usual reasons, plus the release of the killer’s writings/manifesto became a legal battle. In February 2026 a judge ruled on the manifesto's release.
This school was a victim of “The Columbine Effect” as you will hear if you chose to listen.

In June 2025, a legal settlement, based on a complaint filed in April 2023, was reached with the FBI and a news organization. A FOIA request filed by the media had been denied by the FBI under Biden's Presidency. The FBI under President Trump settled the case and released files on the shooting. Some information was released by other sources. Some was leaked.
