Are they shocked

...that two were juveniles? The adult is 21.

They give the names of the 17 year old and the 21 year old. The tone of the one reporter, I ask, is she surprised?

Law enforcement is watching. Who is watching in your house?

Does the FBI listen more carefully after a shooting that attracts national attention? Per the report, the FBI investigates 1.6 million threats. Is that a year or a lifetime?

FBI treats every threat as if (what if) it is real.

Per the inteview below;

Why: Attention seeking or create chaos.

Action: Teacher and parents report. Children, tell a trusted adult. (Right, kids in Newport News?)

More common than we would like.

Can they get a little help here.

The planners are planning, thankfully, these planners got caught. Be aware, it is not just boys who plan.

Four reports of a foiled plot in Georgia. Social media posts led to the discovery.

Prevention is not rocket science.

Who are the kids listening to?

Money, Money, Money

Hmm.  The Oregon Governor is opening money sources for Bend, Oregon. That is not unusual after an attack. Who will benefit?

Story at 11.

Where does Stop The Violence money go? Evidently the DA office in Pittsburgh has some questions.

This investigation in Pittsburgh is in it infant stages but has been around for awhile. Did Marley rattle some chains?  This is the first I heard that the investigation is related to use of Stop the Violence funding. Was the money mishandled, abused, personal use? Hopefully hearings will be open.

Pray for due process and truth.

Do we know where our money goes at 10:00 pm?

Connections are city hall, a mayor and a football coach.

The bell curves are ringing.

Locally, we still have roaming groups of teens. A 15 year old is charged as an adult after three people were shot after a football game. People are paying. Lawyers will get paid.

Two links.

DA investigates the former mayor of Pittsburgh.

15 year old charged as an adult. Preliminary hearing to come. The kid's lawyer talks and the school district has increased security.  This kid is 15, his name is given, so not just initials.

If you search on YT for 15 year old shooter, many choices come up, including one out of Tallahassee, Florida after a college football game this past weekend. This is a brief news report. This kid's name is given too. Eleven people shot.

I decided to search YT for "15 year olds doing good". I found some kids pitching their products on Shark Tank and the talent shows. I bet you can find them in every part of your neighborhood, school, sports teams, band, choir. church, work or in your living room.

Do not let them sit alone in their bedrooms.

Do not let them become collateral damage.

I saw groups of teenagers having fun at trick or treat last night. I always gave the older kids more candy than the younger ones.

We are all 5 when it comes to candy!

When I worked with at risk youth (18 to 22),  the "guess how many jelly beans are in the jar" was a big hit. In a building of adults, guessing how much candy corn had the same effect.

I have eaten three bags of candy corn since September!
