Stopping School Violence One Teacher's Silent Scream

When you walk through a storm.

I wrote my book because I knew, even as I walked out of the school on April 22,1998 that I had a piece of a puzzle. I also knew I had to trust in God. I also knew the storm of controversy had not ended.

Today I was texting with a friend about storms in our lives. We all have them. Some are more difficult than others. Some chose death. Some chose revenge. Some chose prayer. Some chose life. Some seek legal justice.

We are always given a choice.

Stopping School Violence: One Teacher’s Silent Scream is my story about  my choices.

When stormy weather hits, hold your head up high and look up! Fold your hands and kneel in prayer, not in protest. Do not surrender to the powers of evil. Surrender to God.

God sees the bigger picture! He uses all sorts to tell His story!  As they say, Walk on with hope in your heart and you will never walk alone. He sends signs of help.

Rainbows after a storm, show promise! God does not lie nor will he be mocked.

Trust that no matter how messy life gets, there is a God guided choice. He will never put you to shame. I am proof of that!

Love,

Marian

The Log

I really think Google can read our thoughts or the algorithm picked up on a podcaster's prayer.

The Bible Scripture passage came to my mind this morning about taking the log out of our own eyes before removing the splinter from someone else's eye.

It entered my thoughts in 1998 on school violence prevention and then again this morning after listening to a podcaster who opens with prayer. I like her openings. She is a recent find due to the AK trial. She was in the courtroom during the trial. No link is here for her, but I bet I will share one in the future.

These two links are about a death that happened in 2019. One victim. Two teenagers in jail. The weapon was not a gun or knife. The scene was an Ohio park. School event.

Connect dots to the AK situations. Do you see the patterns, beside dead people?

Listen to the news report, then listen to the podcasters commentary. I know nothing of these podcasters. They use expletives but we are all adults. They do not race bait. It is common sense commentary.

Mothers reactions: Compare to the mother of AK. Same? Denial? Unbelief? Anger stage of grief?

My book explains how the mother reacted to my concerns in prevention. We can all be in denial about our own kids. That could be a deadly choice.

These kids took a plea deal which is what many thought AK should have been guided to do. This 2020 plea deal did not result in calls for vengeance on anyone else. Unfortunately, the same can not be said of the reactions to the outcome of the AK trial.

News report: I do remember this case. Not a school setting, but teenagers. Names are given and ages 17.

The podcasters: Interview of the killers. No faces blotted out. The commentary is important.

Per the time on this post, it says 4 days ago but the events are from 2019 to 2020. Masks in some segments for Covid. (That to me shows a problem.)

I hope this helps people understand. Prevention is worth a pound of cure. Any calls for banning logs?
