Imagine, growing up in the 1960s to some songs that called us into action, some into serving. Bobby was lead into action. He came from a very rich family, he did not have to serve. His brother John was assassinated. Bobby could have stayed home. We would all have understood. Bobby was a father to 11 very young children and was only 42. While some young men went to Vietnam and died, Bobby died on a stage stateside. It was not a war zone.
What were they all fighting for? They bled. The flag they served is red, white and blue.
I do not think any of the servers thought they were islands or hoped to die. Did they and their families build their homes on rock for strength through the storm?
Do you know of any names on the Vietnam Wall? I do. John B. was very young, still in his late teens. We would have understood if he stayed home. The government had other ideas. The death tolls were high no matter the flag flown in camp. Numbers of deaths grew long after the fighting ended. We were not a welcome home nation in the 60's.
My father always made us stand in respect when others chose to sit and mock the men who came home. I bet the servers thoughts were what the h..ll did we fight for? I know my father respected servers.
There are always questions surrounding young, deaths. Some may never be answered publicly.

Someone acted on October 15, 2026. It must be hard to take out an armed person in your child's school. The father was asked and he has answered. He responded to a young man with a long gun. It was not in a war zone. Has he asked, "What would you have done?"
What are we fighting for? Battle lines are drawn on the internet, in homes and in our communities. The enemy target schools because children work and play there.
Do not let the mob scream to take the guns. Good men have died for the right to own them responsibly. Good men have died for our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Stopping school violence, do not be paranoid, but look around. There are people with guns or knives aimed to kill. Sometimes they use cars and bombs.
Pray for our enemies. Just maybe it will get a guardian angel in action.
