Sing a little song

So singing is good. Do you like to make up words to a song or know others who do, encourage them. And "teach your children well" as Crosby, Stills and Nash sang.

Today is the Feast of the Guardian Angels in the Catholic faith, celebrated around the world at Mass. We believe we all have one. We even have a special prayer to them. Guardian Angels are not just for the young. Jesus loves his children so we learn he has provided each one with an angel to look over us and guide us.

Sometimes loving a child is hard work. I readily admit, I do not like all children, let alone all adults. But love and like are not synonymous. The bad have Guardian Angels also. Guardian Angels are not just about "that's ok honey".  Angels are messengers because humans can allow the devil into the details.

Thinking of what is best for the child is not always a priority for humans. Parents do have primary responsibilty, sometimes they fail. (see other posts) However, making life altering decisions is not the role of third parties without parental input.

I read the book, Judge Stone. A third party didn't trust the parent of a young teenager who needed help. The third party did not give the parent a chance to respond. It was a life and death situation of a baby. That third party payed with her life. Street justice is not kind. Another character who played God did not have an easy time. The ending was contrived. The judge in the criminal trial of the VP, EP, in Newport News may have taken the ending seriously if she read it. How do you feel when a judge decides the jury is not needed or is wrong in the decision? Teach your children well, love them and let them sing! Their Guardian Angels are watching.

Do not let the devil get into the details of your child's life. Prayer and action. 

Listen, your child just may be telling you how he or she feels.

Brown University, The Clery Act and After Action Report

The report from the Department of Education on the shooting at Brown University is still underway per internet information. Interested parties should pay attention since you are paying. Did the University pay for an independent review like UVU?. Did anyone get fired or step down?

In the Brown case it was allegedly a former student who was visiting the campus who killed people. Universities, by law, have an obligation to protect people on campus, even from visitors (UVU). Do they not? Some visitors have evil intent as UVU and Brown University learned within months of each other in 2025.
