How did a legal expert state "Unthinkable" and "Unprecedented"? Children spoke up, who really listened?

Since 1998, I have been a refugee, from working as a teacher in public education, and have paid attention to many of the nationally televised shootings, as my blog and book confirm.

Richneck Elementary School: The televised reports of the shooting and subsequent civil trial against the vice principal and the upcoming criminal trial of the vice principal have been of special interest to me. Since January 6, 2023, life has not been the same for anyone in Richneck Elementary School.

Life has not been the same for me since 1998, when I was told to get out of my class for speaking up for the safety of my classroom. I believed in 1998 that prevention is worth a pound of cure and so much more.  The jury on November 6, 2025, placed a value of $10,000,000 for the results of the "incident" that did not prevent anything.

I am happy the young teacher (plaintiff) followed through with her case and had lawyers who believed her. The defense lawyer (vice principal) had ignorant lawyers.  Why did the blond defense lawyer use the words "unthinkable" and "unprecedented"?  Her words were not built on truth. No one in their right mind would use those terms to describe the "incident" or events of January 6, 2023. Interesting the defense attornies did not use the words shooting.

I wrote my book to share my story and help in prevention.  It took a lot to follow through. I was not shot, and no one in my school was.  But then, and even today, the possibility was great that there could have been a shooting.

The recent court case's testimony stated that three students warned the staff of imminent danger.  What the staff did and failed to do led to a young teacher getting shot.

You may wonder why the students played a part and why the staff went to the principal.  Students should be believed, and the chain of command is spelled out in policy. Staff who break the chain of command face consequences. Not every adult believes children.  Although it is greatly recognized that young children usually do not lie when it could lead them into trouble.  The girls and the young boy who spoke faced threats from their 6-year-old classmate with a gun. Did they have more bravery than staff?

Maybe these two documents will give more insight.  They are from 1998.

My principal told me I could not consider children neutral and take their word.  I used neutral to distinguish between the perpetrator and the victim, a witness, someone who has information or saw the event.

The policy created in October 1998, after I left the school district, spelled out what a teacher should do in the case of a weapon on campus.

Connect dots for prevention.  ASK yourself what you would do in a school if a child threatened others with a weapon, not just a gun. How did the expert testimony in the trial  fair?

ASK- asking saves kids yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

How costly are missed warning signs?

 The 40-million-dollars?

(Originally published on April 22, 2024, edited and updated November 7, 2025.)

A young teacher, who also suffered from depression before the shooting, filed a lawsuit against the school district after she was shot and seriously injured by her first-grade student, who was 6 years old.

It was January 6, 2023.

She survived and sued for $40 million. The jury awarded the amount of  $10 million.

There are questions the lawsuit answered. Mainstream media covered this failure to protect.

A grand jury also has indicted the assistant principal, and the mother of the boy has received jail time.

The gun jammed; otherwise, per the Grand Jury report, the teacher may have been killed.  The children in the class could have suffered physical injuries in addition to the emotional trauma if the gun had not malfunctioned.

This is not a gun control issue. It is, though, about people not doing their jobs. The testimony revealed the missteps and failures.

The civil court case was decided by a jury on November 6, 2025, but not before the female defense attorney of the vice principal did her best to throw the young teacher under the proverbial bus.  Next up is the criminal trial against the vice principal.  I hope the defendant gets the "book thrown at her."

It was clear from the testimony that the teacher may not have understood she had the required permission to search the child. But per the chain of command, as many understand it in a school, the staff went to the vice principal. The rest is history.

In 2025, the defense lawyer said "unthinkable" and "unprecedented" in the questioning and closing arguments. She must still be living under a rock.

How would you like your classroom remembered?  In a violent time, real questions deserve real answers.

40 million dollar failure...The jury thought it was worth 10 million for the teacher. I am happy she won.  Her life will never be the same.

My book, Stopping School Violence One Teacher's Silent Scream, describes my concerns and actions in 1998.

What would you have done?

Compare and contrast.  My principal was a Peter Principal also. It was a struggle to get my coworkers to understand that prevention is worth a pound of cure-- or at least $10 million dollars worth.

Real or staged? White hat or black hat? AI, actors or victims?

When I started on this journey in 1998 about discussing school violence, I had no idea where it would lead me or some of the real consequences I would pay.  Nor did I expect discussions of whether or not the shootings at schools would be a topic of debate for those who may or may not believe that the shootings drawing national attention are part of psych op or psych act. Is there a difference between the two terms?

Psych op or psych act, or the actual results of a true mad man or woman, the greater effect on society is real.  Since one off beat person said that Sandy Hook was a staged event, the conversation and autopsies on school shootings has taken a turn, and not for the better. He had every right to speak his mind; the victims however sued and won a lot of money because the judges concluded that his point of view was not protected speech.  He opened up a can of worms. His theory has never been proven. He was not allowed to testify to prove it.

I said in my book, that I do not understand the MK Ultra information of triggered shooters because that theory of a madman/woman driven by the CIA or other sinister agencies, to act, upon trigger,  is relatively new to me.  I did also say in my book that some of these shootings had been so well orchestrated that I did not think that the shooters acted alone. People can be influenced. Coordination and timing are key.

If the theory of a government agency planning a school shooting to drive a hidden agenda is scary,  it should be.  Afterall, government is meant to help or protect us.

I am not a hater of conspiracy theories, I do actually know there are bad actors in government. The lies that were perpetrated against me in 1998 were created, fostered and sold within a government agency, a school district, to people within a government agency, a school district, and then to the public. Sadly, some poor fools thought the lies were true.  My book contradicts the lies against me and a court of law supported me. Real life came into clearer view as Columbine hit the rocks in 1999. The people warning were ignored. The truth is scary to admit at times.

Domestic violence calls are the most dangerous times for police. Are the calls CIA driven?

People did not openly discuss Columbine as being a psych op or act in 1999.  We watched on live TV as students ran out of the school and one boy dangled out a school window. We did not question as much and there were not as many podcasters back then who, like now, make a living on connecting dots to the CIA involvment in just about every sinister act.

The Kennedy assassination and then 911 helped to usher in the common belief that the CIA as a government agency works against its own people, let alone people in other nations. I am not doubting that the CIA works against us. I watch documentaries.

I have concerns about how the image may play in prevention when school shootings are connected, without clear evidence. Supposition by amateur detectives rely on third-, fourth- or fifth-party information, or just MSM reports which some claim is fake news all the way around.

I agree, as I said above, there may be strong possibilities of connections.  The autopsies after a shooting involve all sorts of theorists. They may indeed be finding out things that law enforcement does not want to let us in on. How do they find out breaking news information while the crime scene is still wet with blood?

Do they get 4:00 pm talking points.?

With the most recent shooting on August 27, some said it could be a black hat operation, but some were also saying it could have been a white hat operation.  So, do they mean that, for the greater good, the government would orchestrate a school shooting in a Catholic Church during a Mass?  That thought scares me more than a single, soulless shooter with revenge on his/her mind.

Why does that scare me? This is why.

The reality to me of an angry child bringing a gun into my classroom in 1998 was real.  The child had emotional issues, had a troubled home setting, and had working access and knowledge of guns. His behavior put himself and his school mates in danger on a regular basis.  I could connect dots too and spoke up to prevent further escalation based on observation and experience.

I spoke up and retaliation followed, but I spoke.  I did know I was battling local school district leadership, the child's parents  and possibly other angry parents, but I took the risk. It never dawned on me that I would be battling the CIA or other suspect government agencies.  Maybe I was naive. I do know the battle included the NEA and NJEA.

I do know that neither the child nor an agency got to stage a deadly event under my watch in my school.

Was Jonesboro, Ark a psych op on March 24, 1998? Nobody back then said it was. It seemed real to me per news reports.  In fact, it was so real that the heroic actions of the one teacher on that day, motivated me to do more for my troubled student.

My coworkers in 1998 agreed with me, that the reality of greater harm could be done in my classroom. However,  the fear instilled in them by the principal to not back me up was palatable. They looked as stressed as I did, but unlike them, I did not remain silent or walk back support.

No one really spoke conspiracy theories about school shootings in 1998. Fast forward to December 2012 when Sandy Hook elementary school became a target.  Yes, some of the day's events were suspect and demolishing the school may have been a ploy to hide evidence or  could it also have been the only way the community could deal with the horror. An independent voice raised the issue of a staged event with actors. That mentality has plagued every major school shooting since. Now the shooting at the Annunciation Church has those flags waving.

Why does that concern me to the point where I am posting again here and went head-to-head on a few chats?  Because greater fear of the underlying causes, real or imagined, does not help with prevention. These podcasts or MSM autopsies focus on the titillating information and then throw the CIA or staged event into the mix without proven evidence. Many of the commentators do not even bother to reach out for firsthand interviews. Their broadcasted opinions and conclusions are made within a few hours of the deadly event to make sure there is an interest, which may translate into paid comments, rants or super chats. That is how a podcaster makes money. MSM uses advertisers.

As we all know, start a conversation on the same school shooting a week from now and you will find people have moved on.  It happens every time.  More Uvalde news came out this week, but no one mentioned it, at least not before the shooting at Annunciation Church.  Uvalde at the time was also considered, by some to be a staged psych op or act.

People get warning signs.  God sees the bigger picture. People are naturally afraid to speak up when lifestyles or life itself is at risk. We are no different than the Apostles who denied Jesus. Eventually the Apostles got over their fear.

I do type from the safety of my apartment now but my story from 1998 is real, so the topic of school shootings for me has to deal with truth. Each and every violent act is, in theory, preventable because God, who sees the bigger picture, lets us in on information.  It may be a gut reaction, a puzzle piece that fits or just plain knowledge of behaviors that are suspicious.  20/20 hindsight and Monday morning quarter backing has made some people very wealthy, but people are still dead.

The news media reported after the shooting in Parkland, Florida that the shooter made his threats known.  He did not die so his court trial made information even more clear.  If the video released on YouTube by this most recent shooter is real, he/she evidently was making very clear signals too.

Were people afraid to speak up because they were just ordinarily afraid due to risk factors associated with speaking up about unpleasant topics or did some of the talk of staged shooting or CIA involvement in previous shootings create even a greater fear or hopelessness that efforts would not even matter.

Free speech is a foundation of this nation. I have fought for my own right to protected speech in 1998 and challenge those who would like me to shut up even today.

I caution those who did not use the 72-hour rule before drawing conclusions on their shows, to do follow up after the clouds have cleared.

If the CIA or other such agencies have been involved in any of the school shootings, then we have more work to do then advocate for or against gun rights, transgender therapy or ask for armed teachers and guards.

If you have not noticed, evil hates children. It is our responsibility to protect not project theories. Monday morning quarter backing, if valid, will have to motivate people to speak before an evil act occurs,  not make them more fearful.

Pay attention.

We have a soulless nation to bring back to God.

Pray.  Intuition is a gift from God. Our gift of fear is not meant to frighten us into submission but to act.
